This is a survey given at the Eighth Conference on Harmonic Analysis and Approximation Theory in China held in Hanjing, China. In this report, the authors summarize some recent progress on the Marcinkiewicz integrals and rough singular integral operators by Chinese scholars. Particularly, the authors give some new proofs on the \(L^p\) boundedness results on product spaces. In addition, they list some problems related to this topic.
