A note on a paper of Barik (Q2745677)

In this paper the author has pointed out that the methodology described in the paper by \textit{N. Barik} [Pure Math. Manuscr. 3, 123-132 (1984; Zbl 0584.33014)] and the operators used therein are not new and original. They are special cases of the method and operators used by \textit{A. K. Chongdar} [Bull. Calcutta Math. Soc. 76, 262-269 (1984; Zbl 0591.33012)]. These comments are not justified as both the papers have appeared in the same year 1984 and both the persons belong to different countries. The papers might have been communicated for publication simultaneously. The author has further extended the theorem on bilateral generating functions to the mixed trilateral generating functions.
