The paper presents a combined experimental and numerical investigation of a large-aspect-ratio air-blasted liquid sheet in the region near the nozzle exit. The flow is analyzed using linear stability theory, reproducing the conditions of the experiment. The analysis takes into account air boundary layer and the effects of air and liquid viscosities, that allows to better reflect the real situation.
