The transmission problem in bending of plates with transverse shear deformation. (English)

The authors discuss the weak solvability of the problem of bending of homogeneous plate with a homogeneous inclusion of different material. The theory of plates with transverse shear deformation is considered. The problem is reduced to boundary integral equations for which existence, uniqueness and continuous dependence on data of the weak solutions are shown. The analysis is performed for both infinite and finite plates.
