The author studies a class of boundary value problems consisting of the third order difference equation \(\Delta^3 u(t)+a(t)f (u(t)) =0\), \(2\leq t\leq T+2\), and the boundary conditions \(u(0)=u(1)= u(T+3)=0\). New results on the existence of positive solutions are obtained, which include and improve some recent work in the literature.
