Quantum entanglement and secrecy (Q2747046)

This was a talk given at the International Conference on Fundamental Sciences, Mathematics and Theoretical Physics, 13-17 March 2000. This talk provides a general introduction to the field of cryptography and touches upon the surface of many activities presently being pursued under the heading of quantum cryptography. Having discussed the limitations of classical cryptography the paper introduces the quantum key distribution based on entangled particle. It goes on to discuss the criterion for efficient and secure quantum key distribution.
