It is shown that an Artinian ring is serial if and only if its finitely generated indecomposable modules are local, and that \(R\) is an Artinian serial ring if and only if \(R\) is left Artinian and every dominant left projective module over any factor ring of \(R\) is a quasi-injective left \(R\)-module.
