The author constructs a mathematical model for finite deformations of a slender beam subjected to coupled flexure-torsion-extension (contraction) under natural boundary conditions; shear deformations are neglected. For two examples numerical results are plotted into diagrams, which allows to compare them with the results of the conventional linear theory.
