Some minimization theorems for fixed point theorems in fuzzy metric spaces with applications (English)

The concept of a fuzzy metric space used in the paper under review is that of \textit{O. Kaleva} and \textit{S. Seikkala} [Fuzzy Sets Syst. 12, 215-229 (1984; Zbl 0558.54003)]. The authors prove a minimization type result which generalizes a similar theorem of \textit{J. S. Jung}, \textit{Y. J. Cho} and \textit{J. K. Kim} [ibid. 61, 199-207 (1994; Zbl 0845.54004)]. Among various corollaries is a fuzzy metric space version of Caristi's famous fixed point theorem.
