The coupling formation and complete convergence for a strongly mixing random variables sequence (English)
0 references
In probability theory, it is important to estimate the tail probabilities of maximal sums for the sequences of random variables. When the sequence is strongly mixing, then this estimation is usually very difficult. A useful method of coupling formation is introduced, which gives an approach to accurately estimate this tail probabilities. As an application, some perfect results of complete convergence for strongly mixing random variables are given.
