Let \(b: E\times E \to \mathbb R\) be a continuous bilinear form on a Banach space \(E\). The authors give necessary and sufficient conditions for \(b\) to be extendable to any superspace \(X\) of \(E\). It turns out that on a cotype-2 space \(E\) the extendable forms coincide with the integral ones. Also, extendability with respect to a fixed embedding \(j: E \to X\) is investigated.
