Motivated by a series of papers by K. Trimèche and an unpublished preprint of M. Rösler, the author presents some basic results for a wavelet theory on commutative hypergroups. In particular, the case is considered, where a group \(G\) acts (weakly) transitively on the support of the Plancherel measure of a commutative hypergroup. Typical examples are Chébli-Trimèche hypergroups on \([0,\infty[\) with \(G\) as the group of dilations on \([0,\infty[\).NEWLINENEWLINEFor the entire collection see [Zbl 0964.00042].
