Gauge field theory coherent states (GCS). II: Peakedness properties (English)

This is a long, detailed paper in a series of papers [Part I, cf. ibid. 18, 2025-2064 (2001; Zbl 0980.83022), Parts III and IV, ibid. 18, 4629-4681 (2001; Zbl 0994.83023) and 18, 4997-4053 (2001; Zbl 1018.83008)]. The main idea is to obtain rigorous results on coherent states for the semi-classical analysis of canonical quantum gravity and quantum gauge theory coupled to quantum gravity. The most important question in the theory is ``does the theory have classical general relativity as its classical limit''. The peakedness (concentration of the probability density) is crucial in this discussion and, in addition to the analysis, appendices with examples and graphs illustrating the peakedness are given.
