The paper is dealing with the problem of the canonical quantization of the pseudo-classical model of spinning relativistic particles moving in arbitrary electromagnetic and gravitational backgrounds. Continuing their work done for particles in external electromagnetic fields living in a flat space-time, the authors show that and how a consistent quantum theory can be constructed in the more general case of a curved space-time. In particular, they prove that the classical theory (together with some positivity condition) give enough information to arrive at a unique definition of the quantum Hamiltonian.
