Features of wave reflection with strong discontinuities from ultrathin obstacles (English)

The acoustic problem is modelled by a one-dimensional wave equation for a finite spatial interval. The presence of a thin film at one end of the interval is modelled by the boundary condition for velocity potential, \(\psi_x+b\psi=0\), where \(b\) is a large constant. It is found that the first derivatives of the solution exhibit some anomalies which are analyzed by using an exact solution.
