On solution of the magnetoelasticity problem for a circular plate in two-dimensional formulation (English)

A plate under non-stationary electromagnetic and mechanical loading is considered. Material is homogeneous and isotropic, obeys the generalized Hookes law and has a finite electric conductivity. Some assumption with respect to spatial distribution of vectors of electromagnetic field analogous to Kirchhoff-Love hypotheses in mechanics are introduced. The resulting system of ten partial differential equations with variable coefficients for mechanical and electromagnetic quantities is solved by the finite difference method. As an example, a ring aluminium plate in constant magnetic field under the normal load is considered. Tables of radial displacement and a component of electric field for different circumferential harmonics are given and the time history of the Lorentz force is presented.
