On nonlinear wave deformation of cylindrical fluid-filled shells under combined dynamic load (English)
0 references
The motion of a hydroelastic system is described using the nonlinear theory of shallow shells and the hypothesis of small wave motions of a fluid. The sought dynamical displacement of the shell is represented in the ``wave'' form containing four unknown functions. Application of the Bubnov-Galerkin method to governing equations results in a nonlinear system of ordinary differential equations with respect to these functions. Using the derived system of equations, the wave processes of deformation and loss of stability of fluid-filled shells for different cases of combined action of longitudinal and transverse external loads are studied.
