Mixed boundary value problems of the stationary heat conduction for simply connected domains with boundary conditions of the third kind (English)

The mixed boundary value problem for a general simply connected domain is considered. The domain is conformally mapped onto a strip. By the Fourier transform the problem is reduced to the differential Carleman problem and then to a singular integral equation. Representation of the sought solution in the form of series in Chebyshev polynomials reduces the latter equation to an infinite system of equations for coefficients of the series. Solution of the system can be obtained by the method of reduction or by successive approximations.
