Modelling of thermoelastic seismic waves in physical media (English)

A coupled dynamic problem of thermoelasticity for generalized rheological solid is considered. This problem models inelastic physical media. Results of physical modelling in ultrasonic frequency range are discussed. A rheological equation, analytic expressions for phase velocities and attenuation coefficients of thermal and thermoelastic waves as well as characteristic equations for times of relaxation and aftereffect are obtained.
