Projection methods of solution of singular integral equations on real axis (Q2753487)

A substantiation of projection methods (collocation and Galerkin) for approximate solution of singular integral equations with Cauchy kernel on the real axis is done. Schemes of both methods are explicitly presented. Theorems of uniqueness of solution, convergence and uniform convergence of approximate solutions to the exact ones are proved. The rate of convergence is estimated. The author claims that the paper completes studies in substantiation of polynomial projection methods of solution of equations of this type.
