A dynamic problem on the collision of a rectangular plate with a rigid wall is considered. An orthotropic plate meets the wall by one of its sides. The plate is reinforced by rectilinear fibers with a prescribed arranging law. For determination of stresses and strains, a numerical technique is used. The technique is based on grid-characteristic approach. Influence of orientation of anisotropy axes (angle between fibers and the plate sides) on arising and developing wave processed is studied. Plots of stresses are presented and analyzed.
