Discrete simulation in nonlinear dynamics with applications. (English)

This is a report on the author's work in a number of papers for which references are given. The philosophy is to simulate nonlinear problems such as the development of surface tension in a liquid, the motion of a liquid drop and collision of drops, the fall of a pendent drop, the wetting of a graphite surface by a water drop and the formation of a cavity in a liquid by representing a liquid by around 2,000 interacting particles and solving their equations of motion explicitly by computer. No numerical results are given, but some illustrations report on some stages of each process so studied, and the original papers are listed.NEWLINENEWLINEFor the entire collection see [Zbl 0961.00018].
