Formation of criterion function in the system problem of conceptual uncertainty (Q2754680)

An approach to formation of goal functions is suggested and procedure of its realization is considered on an example of a system problem of conceptual uncertainty. The latter is treated as a problem of system optimization in the sense suggested by V.M.Glushkov. The problem is formulated as follows. The source information consists of values of sought goal functions at certain values of variables. It is necessary to find approximating functions, that characterize actual dependencies with practically acceptable accuracy. The suggested approach is realized as a multilevel hierarchical system of models, construction of which is reduced to a sequence of the Chebyshev approximation problems.
