On the relationship between the indices of reliability and levels of fatigue damage of workpieces (English)
0 references
The probabilistic characteristics of fatigue is the degree of fatigue strength of an item or a workpiece. It is assumed in the paper that failure of strength of workpieces, i.e., their damage, are break-downs. In accordance with the reliability theory, indicators like intensity of breakdowns and the mean time of good-order operation of a workpiece are introduced. Using apparatus of theory of probability, formulae for indices of reliability of items and systems consisting of these workpieces, working under cyclic mechanical loads, are obtained.
