Thermal stresses and edge effects in a three-layer plate (English)

A three-layer plate of linearly elastic materials is considered. The solution of the problem is subdivided into two steps: (i) determination of thermal stresses in volume, and (ii) construction of stress concentration zones. Some criterion of extension of the edge effect zone is introduced. A numerical solution is found by the grid method and Cholesky technique. A numerical example is considered, and boundaries of the edge effect zone are plotted.
