On the study of stress concentration in orthotropic shell with a hole of arbitrary shape (English)

An orthotropic shell of arbitrary Gaussian curvature and constant thickness is considered. Directions of principal curvatures coincide with principal directions of anisotropy. A new technique of solution of the problem is suggested. At the hole contour, two components of stress resultant and of the couple resultant are prescribed. This gives a system of four boundary integral equations. The fifth equation is an additional differential relation between unknown functions. Additional relationships for determination of arbitrary constants follow from conditions of uniqueness of displacements and angles of rotation at contour ends. A numerical example for spherical shell is considered.
