Stresses and edge effects in a three-layer cylinder (English)
0 references
A three-layered finite hollow cylinder is considered. The reinforcing (inner and outer) layers have the same mechanical characteristics different from those of the middle layer. Layers are in ideal contact. The structure is loaded by a compressing axial load. Numerical solution of the problem is found by the grid technique. Solution of grid equations is realized by the method of conjugate gradients. The zone of edge effect for stress \(\sigma_{rz}\) is determined with five-percent deviation from the compressing load. A numerical example is considered.
