Nonstationary oscillations of the poroelastic fluid saturated soil layer (English)
0 references
Nonstationary oscillations of a poroelastic fluid-saturated layer are investigated. The motion is governed by Biot's differential equations. On the basis of the finite element method, the authors determinesdisplacements of solid and liquid phases, porous fluid pressure and effective stresses in solid phase. The numerical analysis of a single-axis loading layer of poroelastic fluid-saturated ground is carried out. The effects of phase interactions in a layer are investigated for various values of permeability parameter. The numerical results show that the process of consolidation runs slower with decreasing permeability. For materials with a high permeabilit, a noticeable damping of oscillations takes place.
