This paper deals with the mechanical vibration of a solid in the quasi-static approximation coupled with Maxwell equations for electric induction vector. Using the Hamiltonian formalism for linear equations of electro-elasticity, the authors investigate the propagation of normal waves in a layer. A numerical algorithm taking into account even (odd) properties of the solution with respect to the middle plane of the layer is proposed.
