Supersymmetric quantum mechanics from light cone quantization (English)

The authors consider field theories with minimal supersymmetry in various dimensions. It is shown how the \(4A\) theories ( quantum-mechanical systems in six dimensions) can be constructed with \(D=1\), \(N=4\) superfields with an extra constraint. Discrete light-cone quantization takes a quantum field theory in \(d\) dimensions to quantum mechanics in \(\#d-2\) spatial dimensions. It is considered the addition of a gauge field on moduli space for both theories with \(D=1\), \(N=1\) superfields and with \(D=1\), \(N=4\) superfields. Some examples of the obtained systems with \(N _B = N _F \) and their reduction to systems with \(N _B < N _F \) are illustrated. It appears the new feature that a potential energy term can arise.NEWLINENEWLINEFor the entire collection see [Zbl 0958.00052].
