Some aspects of the Trotter-Kato theorem (English)
0 references
The Trotter-Kato theorem and Lax-Richtmyer type theorems are proved in the case of projection methods. The Trotter-Kato theorem is also extended to the case of a nonhomogeneous Cauchy problem, when the function \(f\in L^1(0,\infty; E)\) and semidiscrete convergence is given in the form \(\lim_{n\to\infty}\|f- f_n\|_{L^1}= 0\). Approximation in time is not considered.
