Identification of evolutionary sequential systems. I: Unified approach (English)

The paper deals with identification; i.e. the constrained deductive process connecting the external and internal models of a system in order to complete these models or to verify their coherence. In particular, the differential identification approach to measuring the influence of minor modifications in the internal or external models is considered. This class of identification is dedicated to sensitivity analysis: learning, redesign, diagnosis, etc. The approach is important for example for systems that have to adapt themselves to an evolving environment. The paper presents an overall view of the different differential identification techniques and their applications.
