Iteration processes of asymptotically pseudo-contractive mappings in Banach spaces (Q2756107)

Let \(E\) be a real uniformly smooth Banach space, \(D\) a nonempty bounded closed convex subset of \(E\) and \(T\) a map from \(D\) into itself such that \(T\) is asymptotically pseudo-contractive or nonexpansive. Then the authors study the iterative approximate problems of fixed points maps \(T\) by the modified Mann and Ishikawa iteration processes with errors in \(E\). Results of this paper improve and extend some results of \textit{Q. H. Liu} [Nonlinear Anal. Theory Math. Appl. 26, No. 11, 1835-1842 (1996; Zbl 0861.47047)] and \textit{J. Schu} [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 158, No. 2, 407-413 (1991; Zbl 0734.47036)].
