\textit{B. Y. Chen} used inequalities for certain sums of sectional curvatures of submanifolds of the Euclidean space in terms of the second fundamental form in [Arch. Math. 60, 568-578 (1993; Zbl 0811.53060)] to make global statements about minimal submanifolds. NEWLINENEWLINENEWLINEThe authors consider surrounding manifolds with a locally conformal almost cosymplectic structure of pointwise constant \(\varphi\)-sectional curvature, and generalise Chen's inequalities to submanifolds tangent to the Reeb vector field. No examples or applications are given.
