The author shows that the jumping conics of Schwarzenberger's bundles [cf. \textit{R. L. E. Schwarzenberger}, Proc. Lond. Math. Soc. 11, 623-640 (1961; Zbl 0212.26004)] are the circumscribed conics to a given conic -- here a conic \(n\)-circumscribes another if there is an \(n\)-sided polygon inscribed in the former and circumscribing the latter. This result leads to a better understanding of the concept of circumscribed singular conics.
