For a review of Part I, see Zbl 0992.11041.NEWLINENEWLINENEWLINEThe focus in Part II is on linear codes and their weight enumerators; in particular, the connections between weight enumerators of codes and theta functions of their associated lattices are discussed in detail. A construction of the Leech lattice (known as construction A) and its generalization (construction A\(_p\), \(p\) an odd prime) are given. Together, Parts I and II offer a compact, yet deep introduction to the relationships between linear codes and lattices.
