This book teaches advanced database programming with Delphi 6. First basic notions of databases and database components of Delphi 6 are presented. Theory of SQL and its practical applications are shown. Borland Database Engine and ActiveX Data Objects (ADO) are explained in detail. The authors describe MS Access and SQL Server and discuss their cooperation (their processing) with Delphi using ADO. They deal with XML and show its applications in internet programming. Next they present various methods of database reporting. The authors discuss and solve many practical problems of database programming with Delphi 6.
