Approximation of functions of two variables by modified Szasz-Mirakyan operators (Q2757004)

Here the author studies modified Szasz-Mirákyan operators in the exponential weighted spaces of continuous functions of two variables. The theorems proved here for functions of two variables are similar to those known for functions of one variable as given by \textit{M. Becker, D. Kucharski} and \textit{R. J. Nessel} [Lin. Räume und Approx., Abh. Tag. Oberwolfach 1977, ISNM 40, 319--333 (1978; Zbl 0386.41014)] and by \textit{L. Rempulska} and \textit{Z. Walczak} [Matematiche 55, No. 1, 121--132 (2000; Zbl 1055.41008)].
