The author prves the solvability of operator equations of type \((Ax)(Bx)+ Cx= x\), with \(B\) being compact and \(A\) and \(C\) being condensing, in a Banach algebra \(X\). This is illustrated by means of a nonlinear integral equation in the space of bounded measurable functions with values in a Banach algebra.
