A numerical method for the determination of dextrous workspaces of Gough-Stewart platforms (English)

This study describes an optimization approach to the computation of boundaries of different dextrous workspaces of parallel manipulators. The numerical methods presented are successfully applied to the determination of dextrous workspaces of Gough-Stewart platforms. The method is based on a new and concise notation for labelling different bifurcation points and curves, which can be easily extended to label the surfaces containing dextrous workspaces.
