Homogenization of differential operators and the Bernstein polynomial (English)

Translation of the Spanish summary: The practical calculation of the Bernstein polynomial was an unsolved problem since its birth in 1972. Methods were known only for some special cases until in 1997 T. Oaku gave a solution for the general problem.NEWLINENEWLINENEWLINEIn this paper we give a simplification of this solution using a homogenization of differential operators more natural than the one used by T. Oaku.NEWLINENEWLINEFor the entire collection see [Zbl 0974.00043].
