Mackey-Arens theorem for spatial scales (English)
0 references
The Mackey-Arens theorem on the topologies compatible with the duality is transferred to the duality of inductive scales of spaces. It develops the Mackey problem in classical duality theory which consists in a full description of all locally convex topologies \(t (E,F)\) on the vector space \(E\) compatible with the duality \(\langle E,F\rangle\), i.e. such that \((E,t(E,F))^* \approx F\).
