Investigation by the matrix method of the influence of nonhomogeneity of short period structure components on their characteristics (English)
0 references
On the basis of the matrix method this paper deals with the development and investigation of a mathematical model of short period structures with a transition region of high refractive index component. The authors found that spectral properties of quarter- and half-wave layers with step, linear, quadratic and logarithmic distributions of the refraction index in the transition region differ considerably from those in the ideal film-substrate boundary case.
