On a difference algorithm solution of a quasireversing problem for a heat transfer process (Q2759417)

The author proposes a numerical difference algorithm for solution of the Cauchy problem NEWLINE\[NEWLINE{\partial\nu\over\partial t}=-a{\partial^2\nu\over\partial x^2}-b{\partial^4\nu\over\partial x^4};\;\nu(x,0)=f(x);\quad \nu=\nu(x,t),\;x\in R,\;t\geq 0,\;a,b>0,NEWLINE\]NEWLINE where \(f(x)\) is a piecewise continuous compactly supported function. Using this algorithm the quasireversing problem for heat transfer process NEWLINE\[NEWLINE{\partial\nu\over\partial t}=-a{\partial^2\nu\over\partial x^2},\;\nu(x,0)=f(x);\quad \nu=\nu(x,t),\;x\in R,\;t\geq 0,\;a>0NEWLINE\]NEWLINE is solved.
