Forced flexural vibrations of the rod are governed by a fourth-order partial differential equation. In construction of solution the method of small parameter is used. For analysis of influence of approximations for non-perturbed equation a class of rods with variable cross-section for which the zero-order differential equation is integrable is considered. These are rods with linearly varying cross-section supported by hinge joints. The original equation is reduced to a system of differential equations whose solution is found numerically.
