Problems about interaction of axisymmetric thermoelastic solids with variable contact zone (English)

Cylindrical stamp of radius \(R\) and height \(l\) rotates with a constant angular velocity \(\omega\) being pressed to elastic half-space by a force \(P(\tau)\). Heat generation by contact friction, non-ideality of thermal contact and heat exchange of non-loaded surfaces with environment are taken into account. Initial temperature of solids and rigid-body displacement of cylinder are zero. The problem is described by equations of thermoelasticity for half-space, heat conduction equations for both bodies, thermal and mechanical boundary conditions and initial conditions. The size of contact zone is unknown. The problem is solved numerically by the method of successfully-discrete separation of boundary conditions. The sequence of operations for solution of the problem is described, a numerical example is considered. Plots of contact pressure are presented.
