Modeling of physical-mechanical processes in composites reinforced by short fibers (English)

A model enabling one to study redistribution of stresses between matrix and fibers caused by inelastic behavior of material of the matrix is proposed. In construction of the model methods of thermodynamics of non-equilibrium processes and of mechanics of continuum, in particular thermoelasticity, are used. On the basis of experimental results physical meaning and specific features of thermomechanical processes in fiberconcretes under complex external thermomechanical loading are taken into account. In derivation of governing equations the variational approach is used. It is assumed that free energy is a functional of history of deformations, temperature and of internal variables, scalar parameters describing influence of deformations on certain components of solid. Expressions for stresses in matrix and in fibers are derived. A numerical example is considered.
