Stress-strain state near sharp spike of rigidly reinforced soft inclusion (English)
0 references
An antiplane dynamic problem of elasticity is considered. The problem contains two small parameters: (i) ratio of shear moduli of inclusion and matrix, and (ii) parameter characterizing ``sharpness'' of inclusion. The method of matched asymptotic expansions is used to establish relationship between different asymptotic expansions and thus to explain the phenomenon of sudden change in behavior of stresses in the vicinity of a rigid reinforced inclusion when its shear modulus tends to zero.
