Plastic deformation of rocks under the action of gravitation and codirectional tectonic forces (English)

On the basis of experimental data dependence of rheological properties of rocks on one-dimensional tectonic forces and compressive pressure are studied. Fields of stresses and strains are determined from solution of problems of thermoelastoplasticity. For estimation of level of plastic strains in the earth crust the model of linearly hardening medium is used. Numerical solution of the formulated problem is performed using the Newton-Kantorovich technique. At each step a linear problem is solved by the variational-difference method based on minimization of the classical Lagrange functional containing thermal terms. Dependence of compressive pressure and plastic properties on magnitude of one-directional tectonic forces is studied.
