The author considers Maxwell's equations for a periodic time variation, and produces a number of variational principles associated with them, including some associated with penalties. Finite element approximations are suggested including the possible use of mixed finite element schemes. The possibility of spectral pollution is mentioned and there is a discussion of compactness.NEWLINENEWLINEFor the entire collection see [Zbl 0970.62003].
